Boricuá: Agroecology and the return of family agriculture in Puerto Rico

Organización Boricuá de Agricultura Eco-OrgánicaI am having a blast. I'm glad this is happening in my country. I always believe that during time of crisis, creativity and greatness emerge.  Boricuá (http://www.organizacionboricua.org/) is an example of our creativity in action to tackle future and potential food supply crisis in the island.

The article is spotlighted in the Institute for Food and Development Policy/Food First site. This organization analyzes the root causes of global hunger, poverty, and ecological degradation and develops solutions in partnership with movements working for social change.
Enjoy the article written by Eric Holt-Giménez, which is author of “Campesino a Campesino: Voices from Latin America's Farmer to Farmer Movement for Sustainable Agriculture.” and Executive Director of Food First/Institute for Food and Development Policy, a people’s think tank based in Oakland, CA USA.
